Get started with Invoice Check
Invoice Check compares invoice records in Procore with their attached source documents. Review the differences and missing information before making a decision.
Connect your project
- Open Invoice Check for production, or use the separate sandbox for testing with synthetic data.
- Choose Connect Procore and sign in to the corresponding Procore environment. Procore asks you to authorize access; Invoice Check uses your Procore permissions.
- Select your company and project. Your administrator must install the appropriate Procore app and grant access to the project, its invoices, commitments, Direct Costs, and source attachments.
- Choose a date range that includes your invoices. In the review sandbox, select All dates to see the August 2026 demonstration records.
Review a comparison
Open an invoice to compare the source document with the recorded vendor, invoice number, dates, amounts, and line items. A match is a comparison result, not payment approval. Missing or inaccessible information requires review.
Procore payment due dates can require separate feature access. If Procore does not expose the payable due date, Invoice Check flags it for review and prevents correcting that field. The date paid and the billing-period submission deadline are different dates.
Available actions depend on your permissions and the workflow configured for your company. Production changes require that workflow to be enabled for your company and project.
Troubleshooting
- No invoices: check the company, project, date range, and Procore permissions.
- Rate limit: wait for Procore’s retry period, then try again.
- Missing source document: attach a supported invoice document in Procore and refresh the invoice.
- Connection expired: connect Procore again. To disconnect this browser, sign out of Invoice Check. To revoke app authorization, use your Procore account’s connected-app controls.
